Emulin was discovered by Daryl Thompson, a food and bio-chemist, and Dr. Joseph Ahrens, former director of research for the Florida Department of Citrus, by studying the use of grapefruit as a weight loss tool.
⇒ In a study at Scripps Clinic in Calif., Dr. Ken Fujioka found that individuals lost weight without changing their diets and adding grapefruit juice, fresh grapefruit and dehydrated powdered grapefruit and decreased their insulin resistance
⇒ Ahrens & Thompson identified three phytochemicals that emulated insulin at various key enzymatic control points and increased insulin sensitivity in order to create Emulin
Initial pre-clinical trials on humans found that insulin resistance could be overcome, and fasting blood glucose could be reduced by 25%.
⇒ Eurofins Lab conducted a test on rats in 2007 and found that the area under the curve (AUC) blood glucose was reduced by 27%
⇒ Additional studies were done in 2008 by Cetero Research that shows that when used with Metformin, Emulin increased the other diabetes medication’s efficacy by ten-fold, and the AUC blood glucose level was reduced by 28%
